Welcome to the Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your request, it has been sent to the Kings Bay Sea Cadet staff.
The basic objectives of the Sea Cadet program are: (1) to help young Americans become more patriotic and responsible citizens, and (2) to help young Americans understand the role of the maritime services in national defense and in maintaining the economic viability of our nation.
A Letter from the Commanding Officer . . .
INITIAL SIGN-UP 2012 - 2013
New cadets who wish to sign-up after the AUG Drill will be handled individually based on schedules. We accept New cadets year round and you can sign up at any drill. New cadets should wear a plain white T-shirt and jeans (bring shorts for trying on uniforms over your clothes). Bring completed application package, enrollment fees, and $25.00 for the weekend drill.
Enrollment Requirements . . .
A medical examination similar to a high school sports physical is required for all cadet applicants to the Naval Sea Cadet Corps (NSCC) or Navy League Cadet Corps (NLCC). No one will be denied admission to the NSCC/NLCC due to a medical disability. Where a medical condition precludes full, unlimited participation, a Request for Accommodation (NSCADM 015) may be presented by the parent or guardian for review so the cadet may participate in NSCC activities to the maximum extent possible.
Adult applicants must be in good health commensurate with their age group and be free from any ailment or condition that would prevent them from satisfactorily performing their primary duty of supervising youth. NOTE: Adults not physically qualified to perform all duties may still participate with a waiver from NHQ considering the parameters of their expected contribution to the NSCC program.
Forms and other paperwork . . .
All of the forms required for enrollment to the Naval Sea Cadet Corps can be found at the Naval Sea Cadet Corps National Resources Portal. The links below provides quick access to the forms which are required to be completed as part of the application package.
Additionally, all parents are encouraged to become involved in the NSCC program. If you are interested in providing assistance the following forms should be completed.
