Driving Directions . . .

Interstate 95 is the most popular route to this area, and you can reach the base by taking Exits 1, 3, or 6. Exit 1 takes you down St. Marys Road and ends at the Franklin Gate. From Exit 3, take Georgia State Route 40 east toward St. Marys and turn left onto Kings Bay Road, which will take you to the Stimson Gate. Exit 6, Laurel Island Parkway, also leads to Kings Bay Road and to the Stimson Gate.

Graduation . . .

Due to the very rigid security procedures all guest should allow at least one hour at the front gate to register and get a vehicle pass to enter the base on Saturday, July 26th. All vehicles are subject search when entering the base and you should be prepared to open all items in your possession. Parents must provide the following information PRIOR to the commencement of training:

Our staff will not have the time to manage this information after the training has started so it is critical that we have the information as early as possible and at the latest, prior to commencement of training.

There are two main entrances to NSB Kings Bay, the Franklin gate which is at the end of St. Marys Rd. It is easily recognized by the large Submarine Monument at the entrance. The Stimson gate is one block to the north of the Franklin gate. During the weekend one of these gates will be shut and access to the base will be though a single gate. It is unclear which gate will be open for graduation so directions to TRIDENT Training Facility from each gate are listed below.

Entering the base from the Stimson Gate . . .

After entering the base, turn right onto USS James Madison Rd. at the second red light. At the end of USS James Madison Rd. take a right onto USS Benjamin Franklin Rd. The entrance to TRIDENT Training Facility is the next right. Once you turn off of USS Benjamin Franklin Rd. take either the first or second left and park in the TTF parking lot.

Entering the base from the Franklin Gate . . .

After entering the base, you will wind around the security checkpoint which is just off of the main road. As you leave the security checkpoint you will need to turn left onto USS Benjamin Franklin Rd. as if you were leaving the base. The entrance to TRIDENT Training Facility is the next right. Once you turn off of USS Benjamin Franklin Rd. take either the first or second left and park in the TTF parking lot.
